🎭 What is JTF?
The Junior Theatre Festival (JTF) is Europe’s biggest celebration of young musical theatre performers! It brings together passionate, talented students from across the UK and beyond for a day filled with:
✅ A 15-minute showcase performed in front of top industry professionals
✅ Live feedback from expert judges
✅ Workshops in acting, singing, and dance
✅ Performances from West End stars and theatre icons

🚌 Sunday 24th May 2026 – Festival Day (Full Day)

🎭 Saturday 23rd May 2026 – Final Rehearsal

👥 Who Can Take Part?
-
Main Entry: Students in Years 7–13 (Ages 11–18)

Years 3–6 may be offered places if space allows (subject to availability)
💷 Fee: £150 (All-Inclusive!)

🎟️ £80 – JTF entrance ticket + official event T-shirt
-
🚌 £70 – Return coach travel
⚠️ Please note: This fee is non-refundable and confirms your child’s place on the team.
👕 What to Wear
All performers must wear:

Stage & Screen official T-shirt (order here)

🎶 Rehearsals

📍 Location: Salford City Academy

🕤 Time: Saturdays, 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (during term time)
👨👩👧👦 Parent/Guardian Involvement
Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are welcome to attend and must act as chaperones.

🎟️ JTF charges the same rate for adults, so if you’re coming, simply add two tickets to your cart.

🧭 Chaperones are expected to accompany and support students throughout the day.

⭐ Solos & Teamwork
While some students may be selected for solos, this is not guaranteed. JTF is all about collaboration, enthusiasm, and team spirit!
🔒 Commitment & Refunds

The fee confirms your child’s place—no refunds will be given.

Students must also be taking part in our 2026 show: Legally Blonde (18th & 19th July) to be eligible.
📆 Attendance

Minimum 85% attendance is required.

Full attendance for final rehearsals and the event is essential.

Excessive absences may result in removal from the cast (no refunds).
🌈 Behaviour & Conduct

We’re committed to a safe, happy, and respectful environment.

Any abusive behaviour or persistent negative criticism may lead to membership termination (with no refund).

Schedules and details may change. The creative team reserves the right to make necessary adjustments at any time.
