Calling All Musical Theatre Choreographers & Dance Teachers!

Stage & Screen Academy is a thriving performing arts school based at Salford City Academy in Eccles, Manchester. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and inspiring Musical Theatre Choreographer & Dance Teacher to join our creative team and help bring our next production to life.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves creating musical theatre, working with young performers, and being part of a team that is passionate about putting on high-quality shows.
The Role
- Teach musical theatre dance to performers aged 7–18
- Choreograph our 2027 musical production
- Create age-appropriate choreography that helps every performer shine
- Film choreography rehearsal videos for students to practise at home
- Work closely with the production team throughout the rehearsal process
- Happy to chaperone on show days (july)
Essential Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit for the duration of the production period (sep through to July 2027)
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- Experience teaching children and young people aged 7–18
- Strong classroom management skills
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child safety
- Enthusiastic, proactive and positive attitude
- Aged 19+ (as we teach performers up to age 18)
We’d Love to Hear From You If You Have…
- Previous experience choreographing musical theatre productions (please tell us which shows)
- A strong dance background (please send a dance showreel)
- Teaching qualifications
- A driving licence and access to transport
- A chaperone licence, or willingness to obtain one
- A base in or around Manchester/Salford

Rehearsal Details
📍 Salford City Academy, Northfleet Road, Eccles, Manchester M30 7PQ
🕤 Saturdays (Term Time)
9:30am – 12:30pm
Next Production
🎭 2027 Musical Performance Dates: 17th & 18th July 2027
Pay
- £60 to £75 per session (Higher end for those with several jr musical choreographer credits and with teaching qualifications)
- Approximately up to £300 per month
- Up to £3,000 per year
