- Times: 17:00 to 19:00 (2h)
- Monthly subscription to classes: £40
- Trial cost: £10
- Content: Stepping into Musical theatre
- Kids Age group: Y2 to Y3 (6 to 8)
- In these Musical Theatre classes, kids will sing, dance and act. The kids have the opportunity to audition for solos in our shows. All kids will be in the show chorus. The games we do are aimed at building confidence for performances, and in this group, we encourage the kids to shine by doing things on their own in front of the group. We teach the kids rhythm by showing them simple choreographies to the songs they are learning. Kids with roles are expected to practice their lines at home.
Juniors - MUsical theatre and film
- Wednesday
- Times: 17:00 to 19:00 (2h)
- Monthly subscription to classes: £40
- Trial cost: £10
- Content: Musical theatre and Film Making
- Kids Age group: Y4 to Y5 (Age 8 to 10)
- In these dance, singing, acting and film making classes, kids are encouraged to work on solos (not compulsory). We do games to build their confidence, help them make friends and bond as a team. The roles they can audition for, start to have more dialogue to learn. There are more moves to remember in the dances in this age group and we start to encourage them to add “style” and emotion to their performance. Kids with roles are expected to practice their lines at home.
- In film classes, we introduce them to filmmaking 101. We explain what camera shot sizes there are, and they are more involved in the breakdown of the script.
Tweens - Musical theatre and film
- Wednesday
- Times: 17:00 to 19:00 (2h)
- Monthly subscription to classes: £40
- Trial cost £10
- Content: Musical theatre (solo opportunities) and Film Making (more hands on)
- Kids Age group: Y6 to Y11 (10 to 16)
- In these dance, singing, acting and film making classes, we teach, not only singing techniques but performance techniques, to capture the audience. The dances have a lot more moves and we remind everyone to use their facial expressions. Roles are more dialogue heavy, requiring more memory work. Kids with roles are expected to practice their lines at home.
- In filmmaking, we expect the kids to have bonded enough in the games to really support each other as a team and be able to run scenes quite independently. We also have kids breakdown all the characters and props with use from the script. We teach them attention to detail in filmmaking.
